Nillion and Ritual team up to build trustless AI learning technology – SiliconANGLE

Optimistic computer networks million and an open-source artificial intelligence firm Custom today announced a collaboration to create a peer-to-peer innovation network for AI that can process data without revealing its nature.

As AI becomes more prevalent throughout industry, the need to access and process sensitive information has become an equally pressing problem. This is especially the case for industries that deal with personal, controlled or private information that cannot be handled transparently. However, AI systems require a lot of computing power and a lot of raw data to work.

Startup Nillion buildslegala takes a node, a peer-to-peer network, which enables the processing of large-scale data by dividing data into nodes. one that knows about the complete dataset. As a result, large amounts of data can be processed “blindly,” meaning that it cannot be leaked or disclosed to third parties while distributed computing is being performed.

Ritual is a Web3 platform that uses blockchain technology to allow traditional and blockchain-based businesses to add AI models to their infrastructure to perform AI tasks, known as inference. Using blockchain technology, computation is distributed across what the company calls an AI-coprocessor in its Ritual Superchain. Ritual’s AI operating system enables advanced computational modeling including the use of vector databases for data entry and graphical processing units for AI learning tasks.

One of the benefits of using Ritual as a decentralized AI operator, the company says, is the proof of chain of transactions and models. When partnering with traditional systems, the platform can offer healthcare companies, for example, the ability to process sensitive financial and health information for customers while providing transparency about how is the information passed for example.

“Our partnership with Ritual aims to revolutionize the way sensitive data is processed during AI production,” said Nillion co-founder and CEO Alex Page. “Integrating our blind computing technology into Ritual’s interface will empower developers to maintain the privacy of both user data and AI models, paving the way for new AI applications. ”

The companies said that other opportunities for this cooperation include the Internet of things, to evaluate the price estimates that protect the product models and user data, and to develop more secure methods to unlike the current layers of anonymity between users and AI chatbots and applications.

The system will also be useful for inputting sensitive information for automated retrieval generation, or RAG, which uses real-time data to increase accuracy and reduce guesswork in AI-powered systems. The companies added that having secure and independent access to private source data will open new avenues for safer and more reliable AI applications in the regulated industry.
